A Vespa day around Barolo: three villages, your own pace

La Morra’s Belvedere viewpoint, a walk in Barolo and the streets of Monforte d’Alba: this route suggests a day focused on the Barolo hills. It is an independent ride to adapt with our team before setting off, with pickup and return in Castiglione Falletto.

Before you ride: decide the pace of your day

The suggested visiting order is Castiglione Falletto → La Morra → Barolo → Monforte d’Alba → Castiglione Falletto. This is a sequence of destinations, not a verified navigation track. At pickup, agree a route using roads suitable for the Vespa and check any changes to local traffic arrangements.

The published full-day rental runs from 09:30 to 18:30 and includes 100 km. Actual distance depends on your chosen roads and detours. Avoid adding every nearby destination: leave time for the return ride, breaks and unhurried village visits.

First stop: La Morra and the Belvedere

Ride to La Morra for a break at the Belvedere viewpoint. This part of the day can focus on photographs and a walk before getting back on the scooter. The vineyard landscape makes the journey part of the experience, alongside the villages themselves.

Park where permitted and explore the centre on foot. If you want to add a stop outside the village, ask our team to consider it in your plan first: countryside attractions do not all share the same road access or visiting arrangements.

Second stop: Barolo village and its castle

Continue towards Barolo and decide how much time you would like to spend there. Falletti Castle houses WiMu, the Wine Museum, which you can consider if you want to learn more about the relationship between wine culture and the landscape.

Check availability, access and opening hours with the museum before arranging a visit. Alternatively, enjoy a village walk and a lunch break. Admission, meals and visits are separate from the Vespa rental; any activity with a fixed time needs to be considered in the rest of the day’s plan.

Third stop: Monforte d’Alba

Dedicate the next part of the ride to Monforte d’Alba. Walking through the historic centre changes the pace after the ride and gives you time to explore the village streets. The Horszowski Auditorium is one of the cultural places to discover during your stop.

Keep an eye on the time before pausing: the ride back to Castiglione Falletto is part of the itinerary. If you spend longer in the first two villages, shorten this stop or agree a route with fewer destinations from the outset. The aim is an enjoyable day, rather than completing a checklist.

Adding winery visits and other breaks

If you would like to visit a winery, arrange the activity separately and check how it fits into the route. This page does not promise included tastings or availability at a specific winery. Any accompanied services must be requested and confirmed separately with our team.

Plan tastings so you will not need to ride after drinking alcohol. For photographs, stop in permitted places without obstructing traffic. Before setting off, check the weather, suitable clothing and your phone charge, and choose a route that matches your experience on two wheels.

Request a Vespa for your Barolo ride

The published fleet includes the Primavera 125 and LX 125 i.e., with a daily rate of €90 per Vespa and 100 km included. See the rental page for accessories, requirements and conditions. Enter your dates in the form and mention your interest in the La Morra–Barolo–Monforte route.

Our team will confirm scooter availability and pickup details. The request does not automatically book museums or wineries and does not include a guide: arrange additional activities separately once you have checked that the ride fits your plans.
